The Latest
Hey friends of Orange-
Mike is enjoying Austin right now at SXSW, where our music was featured in two places: the trailer for Joe Swanberg's new movie (see below) and in beginning and end of Kris Swanberg's new movie (see below). Looks like we'll be working with the Swanberg's some more, and we'd like to work with other filmmakers.
Last week we did some mixing and a little editing, though we recorded in one room, so the editing is kept to a minimum. Of course, it decided to be symmetrical and be just as cold as our January session, with highs close to zero. Minnesota is not so bad really. Everyone in Chicago says Minneapolis is so cold but it's only 10 degrees colder on average.
Anyway, we're excited to be releasing our CD in June and are working on Summer Tour plans.

Trailer for "It was great, but I was ready to come home"
Kris Swanberg's movie trailer. The film and trailer use our tune, Point A. David Lowery on Vimeo because he did the editing, I believe. The trailer does "acknowledge the existence of sex."

Alexander the Last
It's funny how things happen. After some time in the studio finishing things up today, we got back to Mike's and found out our music is in the trailer for Joe Swanberg's new film "Alexander the Last" which opens at South by Southwest and will be available On Demand through Comcast etc.

Waltz of the Traffic Patterns
Since writing these transportation-related pieces, we realized that a lot of people's music listening happens in the car. We hope you will enjoy our music while you are in transit.

Infrastructure
While we haven't titled our album for sure yet, this could be the title track.
Zack created this video by traveling back in time to work for Encyclopedia Brittanica in 1948. They were surprisingly accommodating of a future person seeking footage and arranged for it to be public domain by the time we needed it.

The Long Zoom
When Mike wrote this etude, he came onstage for his senior recital and ripped through it first thing. We decided to adapt it for our group, and then we decided to create a video around it. The term "long zoom" refers to, well, a really long zoom shot, in film.
