Hello friends of Orange,
We've been to the West Coast, Square Lake Film and Music Festival, MacPhail Center for the Arts and The Whitney, since posting last. Thanks to all our hosts and concertgoers for helping make a good summer tour. We want to do it a West Coast tour again in about a year.
Highlights of the tour include: playing on the roof of a house boat, getting to be part of the studio audience for the Price is Right in LA, being promptly saved from a near running out of gas disaster in Idaho, and, of course, seeing lots of old friends, new faces, deserts, mountains and endless, empty Western scrub.
Now we are focusing in on our fall teaching duties and preparing some Werewolf-appropriate music for Joe's quasi-horror film "Silver Bullets." We've also been thinking about how we'd like to put on more fiddle and improvisation workshops. Teachers and workshop hosts, make yourselves known!
Upcoming, we've got an appearance at the Dakota Late Night series on Sept 25 in Minneapolis, a mini-tour to New York, where we'll play Cafe Vivaldi on Oct 17 (other dates TBA) and also a fall stop at Crossings at Carnegie on Oct 30th (day before Halloween).
The cool, fall-ish weather in Chicago feels good. I hope it's nice where you are.
Later,
Zack
